Individual Therapy
Individual therapy at Groundwork is a collaborative process—one where you bring your full self and we figure out the rest together. Sessions are 45–50 minutes for ongoing therapy and 60–90 minutes for your initial intake.
Whether you're navigating something specific or trying to understand a pattern that keeps showing up, the work here is exploratory, relational, and grounded in methods that have actually been shown to help. No worksheets for the sake of worksheets. No quick fixes. Just real, sustained work toward something meaningful.
I work with adults across a wide range of concerns—including trauma, anxiety, depression, identity, relationships, life transitions, and neurodivergence. If you're not sure whether what you're dealing with fits, reach out. It probably does.
The Process
HOW THERAPY AT GROUNDWORK WORKS
Specialties
Trauma & PTSD
Whether your trauma is recent or long-standing, healing is possible. I use Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)—two of the most well-researched trauma treatments available—alongside a feminist, interpersonal approach that accounts for the full context of your experience.
Anxiety & depression
Anxiety and depression rarely exist in isolation—they're usually connected to deeper patterns, relationships, and experiences. We work to understand what's driving them, not just manage the symptoms.
LGBTQ+ & Queer-affirming therapy
This is a space where you don't have to explain yourself from scratch. Whether you're navigating identity, coming out, relationship dynamics, or the cumulative weight of living in a world that doesn't always affirm you—you're welcome here as your full self.
Gender identity
I offer affirming therapy for individuals exploring or navigating gender identity, as well as psychological assessments for those pursuing gender-affirming surgical care.
Young professionals & college students
Early adulthood comes with real pressure—career, identity, relationships, and the quiet sense that you should have it more together than you do. Therapy here meets you where you actually are, not where you think you should be.
Relationships & family of origin
The patterns we learned early tend to show up everywhere—in our relationships, our reactions, and the way we talk to ourselves. We look at those roots honestly and work toward something different.
Life transitions
Major changes—a new job, a move, a loss, the end of a relationship—can surface a lot. Therapy during transitions isn't just about coping. It's about figuring out who you want to be on the other side.
Identity & self-discovery
Sometimes the work isn't about a specific problem—it's about understanding yourself more deeply. Who you are, what you want, and why you do what you do. That kind of exploration is more than welcome here.
ADHD & neurodivergence
Neurodivergent minds often spend years adapting to systems that weren't built for them. Therapy here is a space to understand how your brain actually works—and build a life that fits it better.
Fees & insurance
Investing in therapy is a meaningful commitment—and I want the process to be as straightforward as possible.

Insurance
Groundwork is currently in-network with the following insurance providers:
Aetna & United Healthcare
Private pay & superbills
Many clients choose to pay out of pocket and appreciate the privacy and flexibility that comes with it. If you have a PPO plan or out-of-network benefits, I'm happy to provide a monthly superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Contact your insurance provider to confirm your out-of-network benefits before your first session.
If cost is a barrier, feel free to mention it when you reach out. I hold a small number of reduced-fee spots and am happy to discuss what might be possible.
